About The Position
This role focuses on ensuring medication accuracy by refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, optimizing pharmacy operations through inventory management and order preparation, safeguarding patient safety by repackaging bulk medications and managing supplies, and facilitating communication between the pharmacy, healthcare providers, and patients.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Pharmacy Tech OR Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure medication accuracy by meticulously refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems to provide clinicians with the right tools at the point of care.
- Optimize pharmacy operations through proactive inventory management and order preparation, ensuring essential supplies are always available for our patients.
- Safeguard patient safety by expertly repackaging bulk medications and managing incoming supplies according to strict quality and storage standards.
- Facilitate seamless communication between the pharmacy, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve inquiries and ensure a collaborative approach to treatment.
