About The Position

The Advanced Packer plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and high‑quality fulfillment of Automotive and MV‑Kitting shop orders. This position supports production efficiency, quality performance, and workplace safety by prioritizing work effectively, minimizing scrap, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) environment. The role also contributes to team capability by supporting training and adherence to standardized work practices.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including proper use and application
  • Understanding of materials, production processes, quality control, and required training completion
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and verbal communication, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequently changing priorities
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work orders, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to understand, follow, and comply with work directions, training manuals, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements
  • Visual acuity sufficient to examine and inspect materials

Responsibilities

  • Complete Automotive and MV‑Kitting shop orders in accordance with work orders and production schedules
  • Prioritize shop orders based on due dates and job complexity to meet production and delivery requirements
  • Read and interpret work orders, specifications, materials requirements, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Ensure production and quality standards are met while generating minimal scrap
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork related to material usage and labor reporting
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) measures to support an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace
  • Adhere fully to Leader Standard Work expectations
  • Operate all equipment in a safe, effective, and compliant manner
  • Provide training and guidance to new or junior employees, as required, following control plans and emphasizing safety, efficiency, and quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
