About The Position

Join Intel's Advanced Packaging Team within the Advanced Packaging Technology Development: Substrate and Wafer Assembly (APTDSWA) organization, whose mission is to be the supplier of choice for leading and affordable advanced substrate packaging. APTDSWA is the leader in developing cutting edge substrate technology for Intel’s foundry business. As an APTDSWA Manufacturing Manager in Advanced Packaging Technology and Manufacturing, you will serve as a senior-level individual contributor responsible for delivering advanced packaging manufacturing deliverables, driving factory execution readiness, and enabling technology development milestones. This role requires strong ownership of operational priorities across safety, quality, output, cost, cycle time, tool readiness, WIP movement, and schedule commitments. You will partner closely with engineering, integration, planning, quality, maintenance, and program teams to resolve complex factory issues, improve manufacturing performance, and help deliver advanced packaging technologies that support Intel's continued leadership. APTDSWA Manufacturing Managers perform senior individual contributor functions associated with substrate and advanced packaging execution, including factory readiness, production execution, equipment and process alignment, operational prioritization, issue resolution, and delivery of committed manufacturing milestones. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Own and drive advanced packaging manufacturing deliverables across assigned factory areas, ensuring execution aligns to safety, quality, output, cost, cycle time, tool readiness, WIP movement, and schedule commitments. - Own manufacturing performance across assigned factory areas by setting direction, establishing operating standards, and driving disciplined execution to safety, quality, output, cost, cycle time, staffing, and schedule objectives. - Develop and execute resource, capacity, and prioritization strategies that maximize equipment availability, factory stability, throughput, and readiness for current and future advanced packaging requirements. - Partner with engineering, integration, maintenance, planning, quality, and program teams to resolve complex manufacturing issues, improve equipment and process performance, support factory recovery, and achieve technology development milestones. - Drive alignment during non-standard factory operations, equipment downtime, escalations, excursions, and recovery events by enabling clear prioritization, rapid decision support, and effective execution across affected teams. - Support capability building by identifying operational gaps, strengthening standard work, improving training inputs, and enabling readiness for factory ramp, equipment qualification, and advanced packaging production requirements. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving, Lean Manufacturing, MBPS, Six Sigma, data analytics, and factory performance metrics to improve safety, quality, output, cost, yield, and cycle time. - Coordinate workforce coverage, shift handoffs, workstation priorities, WIP movement, tool utilization, and cross-shift execution requirements to support committed production needs and business priorities. - Role model Intel values, promote a strong safety and quality culture, and influence cross-functional partners to deliver disciplined, accountable, and high-performing manufacturing execution. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related STEM field and 6+ years of experience OR Master’s degree in a related STEM field and 4+ years of experience, Or PhD degree in the same fields with 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience driving manufacturing execution, factory readiness, equipment performance, process improvement, or technical deliverables in a manufacturing, factory operations, equipment, engineering, or related environment from development to high volume manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience driving manufacturing performance through safety, quality, output, cost, cycle time, staffing, training, equipment availability, and/or schedule execution metrics.
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, MBPS, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, or equivalent operational excellence systems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional groups.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional manufacturing priorities, technical deliverables, factory recovery efforts, equipment readiness, or advanced packaging execution in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in substrate, assembly, packaging, semiconductor fabrication, silicon process development, manufacturing operations, or advanced technology development.
  • Knowledge of factory operation systems, factory physics, capacity planning, equipment scheduling, excursion management, factory floor planning, and manufacturing performance metrics.
  • Proven track record delivering complex factory priorities, ramp execution, technology development milestones, continuous improvement projects, or cross-functional initiatives with measurable business results.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing ramp activities, including readiness planning, capacity alignment, WIP movement, tool qualification, staffing coordination, and execution to ramp milestones in a fast-paced factory environment.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders, managing ambiguity, solving complex factory problems, and driving results through collaboration without direct people-management authority.
  • Experience qualifying toolsets or processes in a development and/or HVM environment; to enable manufacturing capabilities in a 24x7 factory model, prioritizing safety, quality and output.
