About The Position

This role is for an Advanced Operator on the F Shift, working 3 to 4 days per week for 36 to 48 hours. The position requires proficiency in all Packer and Entry Operator duties, including equipment inspection, sanitation, quality checks, and preventative maintenance. The operator will be responsible for tracking sanitation results, retains, micros, and product specification compliance. They will also perform minor and participate in major machine changeovers, communicate information to the next shift, and maintain 6S compliance. The role involves rotating into any position as needed, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 8-12 hours, walking long distances, and wearing required PPE. The operator must also be able to clean any area of the facility as assigned to maintain cGMP standards and perform other assigned duties. Safety is a critical aspect of this role, and effectiveness in performing duties safely will be considered in performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in ALL Packer and Entry Operator duties
  • Working knowledge of JDE - appropriate to the Advanced Operator position and responsibilities
  • Know and understand non-conformity manual
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand at least 8-12 hours
  • Must be able to walk long distances
  • Required to wear PPE, including hair net, beard net and any other as required for job
  • Strong verbal, written and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A working knowledge of cGMP regulations and guidelines
  • Knowledge of manufacturing lines and processes
  • Must be in good standing-no recent attendance warnings

Responsibilities

  • Complete start of shift inspection/sanitation of equipment
  • Track Sanitation results, Retains/Micros and Product specification compliance
  • Complete quality checks as needed
  • Perform and/or participate in Preventative Maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain good run adjustments (e.g., print registration, label adjustments, substrate dimensions and folds)
  • Complete minor machine changeovers (film, label, paper and box sizes)
  • Complete and/or participate in major changeovers
  • Communicate information to on-coming shift
  • Maintain 6S compliance
  • Rotate into any position as needed due to absences, breaks, etc.
  • Clean any area of the facility as assigned or needed to maintain cgmp
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner
