The APRN-Psych reports directly to the Clinical Supervisor and Program Director. A collaborative relationship with a physician/psychiatrist is maintained. Practices within the scope of practice and licensure as delineated by education, training and the AR State Board of Nursing. Nurse practitioner is responsible and accountable for patient care. Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Effectively interact with patients, families, & visitors while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Provides physical and psychological support to patients and families. Outpatient services may be delivered face-to-face or via telemedicine in the behavioral health clinic, primary care offices, or any other location allowable. Provides psychiatric consultation and oversight services to all outpatient programs. Service delivery location and method will be discussed and decided upon as best suits patient needs by Program Director and Clinic Supervisor with input from APRN. Outpatient APRNs will also provide support to inpatient services as needed, including patient rounding, weekend rotations, and taking call. This will not be a primary duty but some coverage will be required based on staffing needs on a rotating basis.
