About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Advanced NDE Level II Technician to join their Asset Integrity Management team at a client facility in Texas City, TX. This is a full-time, nested position requiring the ability to certify as a PAUT Technician with prior Level II certification and experience. The role involves inspecting materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, AUT, MT, or PT technology.

Requirements

Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including Phased Array and AUT.
Prior experience in MT & PT.
Prior Level II certification.
API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required for consideration.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English.
Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Additional NDT certifications and experience are a plus.
Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record.
Current TWIC card.
Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (RT, PMI, UTT, VT) preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect assigned materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, AUT, MT, or PT technology.
Use advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
Work with semi-automated and automated encoding.
Set up and calibrate equipment.
Interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified.
Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel.
Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
