About The Position

Intertek is seeking an Advanced NDE Level II Technician to join their Asset Integrity Management team at a client facility in Texas City, TX. The role involves the inspection of materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, AUT, MT, or PT technology. This is a full-time, nested position at a client facility. The technician must be able to certify as a PAUT Technician with prior Level II certification and experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including Phased Array and AUT with prior experience in MT & PT.
• Prior Level II certification
• API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required for consideration
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English.
• Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.

Nice To Haves

• Additional NDT certifications and experience are a plus.
• Valid Drivers' License and reliable driving record (preferred)
• Current TWIC card (preferred)
• Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (RT, PMI, UTT, VT) preferred

Responsibilities

• Using advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
• Working knowledge of semi-automated and automated encoding required.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel.
• Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
