About The Position

Pape’ Kenworth is seeking an Advanced Mobile Truck Technician / Mechanic to join their team. This role involves working in the field at customer locations, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks. The technician will need a deep mechanical understanding, sound judgment, and the ability to perform advanced repairs while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism. Daily tasks include analyzing complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions, determining repair strategies, and executing repairs or rebuilds on major systems such as engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems. The goal is to support customers by maximizing uptime and getting trucks back on the road quickly, safely, and correctly.

Requirements

5 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
Experience with engine repair, electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must provide own tools.
Driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy Class 7 & 8 trucks in the field at customer locations.
Performing advanced repairs on major systems including engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
Analyzing complex mechanical and electronic malfunctions.
Determining the best repair strategy for identified issues.
Executing repairs or rebuilds on major truck systems.
Supporting customers by maximizing truck uptime.
Ensuring repairs are completed with precision, efficiency, and lasting quality.
Upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
