About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Advanced Manufacturing Technician to join our growing Advance Manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the installation, qualification, and validation of new production equipment and processes, and help ensure mechanical systems are repaired, modified, and maintained to specification. Working closely with Mechanical and Process Engineering, this role serves as a key source of hands-on observation and data during equipment trials and process qualification, helping the team understand how systems perform, how easily they can be assembled or serviced, and where improvements are needed before full-rate production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance or a similar hands-on, technical role.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, testing methods, and data-collection processes.
  • Comfortable working with hand tools, production equipment, and basic documentation systems.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical procedures and safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or engineering-related degree or relevant coursework.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or process environment.
  • Familiarity reading engineering drawings, schematics, or basic P&IDs.
  • Experience of machining processes such CNC machining, laser cutting, 3D printing and welding

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document repairs, modifications, and adjustments to new and existing production equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Gather and document data and observations useful for developing, designing, modifying, or repairing mechanical systems.
  • Participate in Installation, Operational, and Process Qualification activities, as well as validation trials.
  • Support Process Engineering, as needed, by collecting data and providing hands-on insight during trials and process improvement activities.
  • Support the training and production readiness of new product launches, including assisting in the training of production technicians and operators, to help ensure successful transfer of new products into production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including tools and equipment, in accordance with company standards.
  • Communicate observations on equipment performance, ease or difficulty of assembly, and system reliability to Mechanical and Process Engineering.
  • Assist in operating equipment and test/data-collection instrumentation used to evaluate new and existing processes.
  • Follow established safety protocols, work instructions, and technical procedures when working with mechanical systems and production equipment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide hands-on support and ideas that advance the goals of Advance Manufacturing as well as the broader organization.
