Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.25 Position Summary: The responsibilities of a Manufacturing Technician are to support the laboratory staff with the process of building and manufacturing science products. This position will perform a variety of tasks within a laboratory setting that may include labeling, recording data, operating equipment, formulation and plate coating.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of relevant experience; or an associate degree preferred and up to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Work independently with minimal supervision on moderately complex tasks
  • Analytical and predictive ability
  • Knowledge of multiple processes or products
  • Strong technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and produce products ranging from low to moderately complex, following established specifications.
  • Collect, interpret, and summarize data and results for low‑ to moderate‑complexity workflows.
  • Verify proper operation of laboratory and manufacturing equipment and escalate issues as needed.
  • Perform routine laboratory upkeep and complete minor equipment repairs to maintain operational readiness.
  • Operate, calibrate, and ensure the proper functionality of semi‑automated manufacturing instruments.
  • Use data and documented results to make routine, non‑critical decisions that support production flow.
  • Demonstrate EPIC values in all daily tasks and interactions.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service partners.
  • Apply laboratory protocols and contribute to drafting or updating SOPs; follow regulatory and safety requirements for chemical handling, hazard awareness, compliance, and equipment use.
  • Investigate product histories and recommend parameter adjustments within approved guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and contribute to implementing process improvements.
  • Diagnose and resolve routine production or technical issues using prior experience and established troubleshooting methods.
  • Consistently achieve defined cycle times, quality standards, and production targets.
  • Use internal databases and software systems to accurately record, track, and analyze production information.
  • Manage weekly tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining strict adherence to safety practices.
  • Support project work that involves low‑ to moderate‑complexity activities as part of cross‑functional teams.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new employees or peers on processes, equipment, and best practices.
