Requirements

  • Currently enrolled high school student.
  • Understanding of and interest in technical and functional relationships.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of working in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to lift weights of up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Learn manual and machine-based processing techniques.
  • Learn joining techniques, including thermal joining processes.
  • Participate in basic technical training and learn assembly of subassemblies as well as complete machines, including basic of related hydraulics, pneumatic and electric components.
  • Complete advanced technical training and learn troubleshooting, repair and testing of equipment.
  • Attend and successfully complete all required technical college courses.
  • Successfully complete the required midterm and end of apprenticeship skills tests.
