Orchestrating work and offering technical direction and mentorship to specialists and technicians, you’ll coordinate and perform more complex cross functional tasks in support of the operations/manufacturing organization. You’ll lead the development of more complex manufacturing and operations plans and schedule and facilitate assigned projects. As the Advanced Manufacturing Operations Specialist, we’ll expect you to effectively communicate with engineering departments, quality control, manufacturing, purchasing or other groups as required in order to complete project plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient originality and application of standard engineering principles and methods in completing technical assignments
  • Proficient mechanical or electrical aptitude
  • Ability to manage schedules, priorities, risks, action items, and customer commitments in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and data-driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate concise program status and recovery plans.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Managing repair, manufacturing, depot, sustainment, or technical operations performance, including schedule adherence, turnaround time, backlog, and aging work.
  • Leading cross-functional teams and resolving operational constraints involving engineering, quality, material, test, production, and documentation.
  • Developing, maintaining, or improving operational documentation, work instructions, standardized processes, or corrective actions.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities and driving actions that improve throughput, reduce cycle time, and maintain quality and compliance.
