Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Senior

Honeywell Aerospace•Tempe, AZ

About The Position

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes by leading initiatives that increase productivity, improve product quality, and support customer satisfaction. The role reviews and dispositions non-conforming materials from internal and external sources, uses disposition data to identify trends and corrective opportunities, and supports root-cause and corrective-action investigations. The engineer evaluates moderately complex manufacturing processes, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. The position works with operators and production technicians to identify and document hidden factory issues and prepares written or graphical work instructions. It also supports new product introduction (NPI), establishes manufacturing methods and operation sequences for moderately complex products and assemblies, and ensures processes meet customer quality requirements. The role assesses capacity and capabilities in its assigned area or cell, identifies bottlenecks and opportunities to increase throughput through engineering solutions, and prepares product and process reports. Findings and supporting rationale may be presented to teams, suppliers, or customers. The engineer contributes to team objectives and may participate in cross-functional or project teams.
