About The Position

This full-time and benefit-eligible position focuses on product development efforts using both Additive Manufacturing (AM) and conventional manufacturing methods. The role supports sustainment activities for aerospace and other equipment components. Key tasks include reverse engineering, CAD design, 2D drawing with a focus on GD&T application, and analysis and simulation for selected components. The engineer will act as a "Product Owner" for the overall development effort, managing all product development process steps, collaborating with various groups for manufacturing and qualification testing, and seeing projects through to completion. Additionally, this role provides FEA analysis support to other team members, develops and delivers training materials, and participates in technical challenges and team support activities. The position operates in a highly agile environment, requiring teamwork, flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in product development
  • 3+ years of experience with Computer Aided Design software, preferably SolidWorks
  • 3+ years of practical experience in 2D drawing generation, including application of GD&T
  • 2+ years of experience in simulation and FEA analysis using an industry standard analysis tool such as ANSYS
  • Practical experience reverse-engineering products/projects
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, extrusion, CNC machining, injection molding, thermoforming, etc
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform extensive research, catalogue findings during development activities, and write reports for both internal and external use
  • Effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills with coworkers and clients at all levels.
  • Self-motivation with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on US government contract
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Hands on experience with Laser Powder Bed Fusion printers
  • Hands on experience with Industrial FDM printers
