About The Position

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II focused on SCADA and MES systems, you will support and improve the site Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Ignition SCADA platform. You will enhance system reliability, develop workflows, integrate equipment data, and collaborate with operations, IT, and controls engineering. The role applies engineering expertise to improve production processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality in support of Honeywell Aerospace’s innovation and operational excellence. The position also includes people-leadership responsibilities: developing and supporting employees, recruiting talent, identifying and developing successors, driving retention and engagement, and fostering an inclusive culture. Candidates must meet U.S. person requirements under export control laws and regulations: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
At least 3 years of experience with MES, SCADA platforms, or industrial automation systems.
Experience with Ignition or similar SCADA tools.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and data-acquisition fundamentals.
Ability to work across functions to resolve technical issues and implement system improvements.
At least 3 years of experience in advanced manufacturing or process engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, process optimization, and quality control.
Proficiency with data analysis and statistical process control tools to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
Must be a U.S. person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves

Experience with automation, robotics, or additive manufacturing technologies.
Advanced degree in Engineering.
Controls or PLC experience, such as Rockwell or Siemens.
Database skills, including SQL, scripting, or data modeling.
Familiarity with digital manufacturing, ISA 95 architecture, and IIoT technologies.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous-improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Support, maintain, and enhance the MES platform and Ignition SCADA applications used across manufacturing operations.
Develop and modify screens, data flows, and logic within Ignition to improve usability and capture real-time production data.
Troubleshoot MES/SCADA system issues and drive root-cause resolution.
Integrate equipment signals, PLC data, and process metrics into MES/SCADA dashboards.
Collaborate with controls engineering on equipment connectivity and automation improvements.
Support continuous-improvement initiatives related to digital manufacturing, data visibility, and workflow optimization.
Support and optimize advanced manufacturing processes to improve quality and productivity.
Implement continuous-improvement initiatives and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and apply advanced manufacturing technologies.
Develop and support employees, recruit talent, identify and develop successors, drive retention and engagement, and foster an inclusive culture.
