About The Position

Under general supervision and working independently, this position serves as the senior technical specialist within IT Support Services responsible for advanced macOS and Linux endpoint support across IT-managed desktops, laptops, instructional computing labs, research labs, and non-instructional lab environments. This role provides high-level consultation, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management for macOS and Linux systems that support instructional delivery, research computing workflows, and specialized academic software environments. The incumbent ensures that endpoint security standards and institutional policies are implemented in ways that enable rather than impede legitimate academic and research activities.

Requirements

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of progressively responsible technical support experience, including advanced macOS or Linux administration.
Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
