About The Position
RECONN is seeking problem solvers who take pride in public safety and are comfortable in a fast-paced, exciting work environment to join our team as Advanced Locate Technicians. As leaders in the utility industry, we concentrate on quality and safety. This position is based out of Henderson, Colorado. This is a full-time position, requiring overtime and travel (70% home, 30% travel).
Requirements
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
- Proficiency with technology.
- Must be able to travel.
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
- Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced locating experience with all utilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Experience reading CAD, GIS, and MicroStation files is a plus.
- Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the correct, safe, and efficient locating of underground utilities both public and private.
- Thoroughly research and investigate all underground utilities in an area.
- Properly mark the location of utilities.
- Complete necessary paperwork and document each location.
- Documentation can consist of electronic field sketching, GPS, and Data Collection.
