About The Position

As a Fleet Documentation Product and Deliverables Lead (PDL) at GDMS, you will lead a cross functional team responsible for the full development and delivery of all user documentation needed for the Navy to operate and maintain the next generation strategic deterrent weapon system. You will work with Navy customer and users, systems, hardware and software engineers, and technical writers to plan and execute the project(s). The ideal candidate has experience leading small teams, is experienced in developing user documentation (especially electronic documentation), understands Strategic Systems Programs’ development and support programs, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. However, we are willing to train the right candidate. PDL team members are responsible for program-specific projects and documentation deliverables, developing documentation requirements, coordinating and interfacing with local Navy Program Management Office (PMO) and the customer for periodic reviews and providing details on new or changed documentation scope, coordinating and interfacing with other internal and external organizations and stakeholders, working with GDMS program managers to develop and track budgets, often using the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), developing and monitoring program schedules and deliveries, and planning, scheduling, and tracking to completion documentation deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management or Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience leading small teams
