Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist
About The Position
ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to impact heart failure care in the community, grow a mechanical circulatory support program, and implement a hub-and-spoke model across a large tertiary care system. The position involves shared care for LVAD and heart transplant patients, dedicated cath lab time for heart failure procedures, and outreach clinics. The cardiology group is multi-subspecialty and serves a large catchment area. PPG focuses on preventive care and patient education, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
- Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
- Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for LVAD and heart transplant patients.
- Perform heart failure procedures such as heart catheterization, implantable PA sensors, and endomyocardial biopsies.
- Conduct outreach clinics at satellite HF clinics.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized, effective care.
- Apply the latest medical knowledge.
