The Future Technology team is looking for engineers with a passion to improve our existing high performance computing platforms and drive new hardware and development environments. This position will require you to work closely with scientific computing partners within the Department of Energy and Department of Defense. You will also be expected to interface with internal stakeholders to explore high-impact opportunities to develop and deploy future computing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science field; or Currently an Advanced Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
  • All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong capability and knowledge of computing hardware including CPU, GPU, networking, and storage infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with software development principles and environments.
  • Ability to interface with suppliers of scientific computing technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines of science and engineering.
  • Strong ability to distill and communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences in written, verbal, and multimedia formats.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Intellectually curious, creative, and able to proactively engage stakeholders in future technologies.
