About The Position

We are seeking an Advanced Fullstack .Net/Angular Engineer to join our product engineering team within a digital tax preparation and financial technology platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performing frontend and backend solutions that enable credentialed tax professionals to prepare, sign, and file returns efficiently. Working primarily with C#/.NET and Angular, you will actively leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor and Claude Code) as a core part of your engineering workflow to drive productivity, maintain strict code quality, and ensure platform security. Operating with technical independence, you will collaborate cross-functionally to tackle complex features and continuously improve system performance.

Requirements

3+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack web application development.
Proven track record of developing and delivering production features using C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, and Angular.
Demonstrated hands-on experience querying, designing, and optimizing relational databases using SQL Server.
Practical experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding, refactoring, and feature execution.
Strong experience in several of the following areas: Backend Development: C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, RESTful Web APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
Frontend Development: Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and modern frontend design patterns.
Databases: SQL, relational database management (SQL Server), query optimization, and schema design.
AI-Assisted Workflows: Practical proficiency with AI development assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to enhance coding efficiency while safeguarding code quality and security.
Engineering Tools: Visual Studio / VS Code, Git version control, and CI/CD workflows within Azure DevOps.
Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
Proactive mindset with a strong ability to break down complex tasks, manage time, and work independently with minimal oversight.
Strong technical curiosity regarding how system architectures fit together and evaluating engineering tradeoffs.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and cross-functional team collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
Prior experience working in fintech, tax platforms, or highly regulated software domains.
Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain robust frontend and backend features across core professional tax software products.
Write clean, maintainable, and secure code in C#/.NET and Angular, utilizing AI-assisted tools to streamline execution while maintaining high architectural standards.
Participate actively in design reviews, architectural discussions, and peer code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and DevOps to translate complex domain requirements into reliable technical solutions.
Assist in documenting software architecture, system specifications, and RESTful API workflows.
Drive best practices in software version control, task estimation, testing, and Agile methodologies.
