About The Position

The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization is seeking an Advanced E-7A Senior Engineering Manager. This role will lead the execution for the Advanced E-7 Engineering team from Tukwila, WA or Oklahoma City, OK. The Advanced E-7 Senior Engineering Manager will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for overall engineering execution for the Advanced E-7 development program. This leader will be part of a strategic engineering leadership team, collaborating across sites, countries, and business units with the Advanced E-7 Deputy Chief Engineer and BDA (Boeing Defense Australia) Senior Engineering Manager. This position provides both technical leadership and people management, ensuring engineering execution meets cost, schedule, quality, safety, and compliance objectives in alignment with the overall E-7 Program. The role involves working across functional teams, customers, suppliers, and senior leadership to drive strategic engineering outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities.
  • Provides technical management of suppliers.
  • Leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes in alignment with the Advanced E-7 Deputy Chief Engineer.
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
