About The Position

The Advanced CNC Machine Setup Operator is responsible for ensuring machinery is set up, is working properly, and conforms with company and safety policies and quality standards. This role requires knowledge of Lathe, Swiss Lathe, Grinders, and/or Mill CNC Machines. The position is available for 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd Shift.

Requirements

CNC machining experience required.
Knowledge of FANUC controls.
Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
Able to read and interpret charts, drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of safety procedures relating to setting up CNC machinery and handling materials.
Ability to interpret, edit, and program efficiently, when required.
Must be able to set up CNC machinery with minimal supervision.
Must be able to follow directions and perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.
Strong communication skills to work as part of a team.
5 years minimum experience in a related role.
High School Diploma, or GED.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of 4th axis operation, a plus.

Responsibilities

Sets up tools according to instruction, specifications and or blueprints.
Examines blueprints, work orders, and other specifications to ensure proper setup sequence.
Sets and adjusts necessary controls to regulate machinery.
Ability to set up and adjust bar loaders.
Verifies measuring equipment are in proper working order.
Set up tools and machinery for individual projects.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.
Other related duties as assigned.
