About The Position

Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Rehabilitation and Performance is seeking an experienced pediatric physical therapist to join its multidisciplinary team at the HSS Pediatric Rehabilitation and Young Athlete Center. The role treats children from newborn through age 21 in an outpatient setting, addressing a broad range of non-operative and post-operative diagnoses. The clinician may practice in both orthopedic and neurodevelopmental settings. HSS provides a robust onboarding experience and career development opportunities, including career ladder advancement, clinical mentorship, participation in educational initiatives for oneself and others, and team and community activities. Candidates should be strong pediatric physical therapy clinicians with experience and/or interest in staff development, mentoring, and education, and should excel in communication, teamwork, and leadership.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience.
Outpatient clinical expertise emphasizing differential diagnosis, examination, and treatment of musculoskeletal and neurodevelopmental pathologies of the spine and extremities, including non-operative and post-operative care.
New York State licensure.
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

PCS board certification.
Experience and/or interest in staff development, mentoring, and education.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat pediatric patients from newborn through age 21 with musculoskeletal and neurodevelopmental conditions affecting the spine and extremities.
