About The Position

Under the direction of the Health Services Manager, the Registered Nurse with Additional Authorized Practice [RN(AAP)] will be responsible for providing nursing services including the diagnoses and treatment of limited common medical disorders according to the Clinical Decision Tools (CDT) and in conjunction with their clinical knowledge and judgment; in compliance with the RN with Additional Authorized Practice (RN AAP) Practice Standards and with Saskatchewan Health Authority policies and procedures. Experience in the utilization of electronic medical records is required.

Requirements

Registered/Eligible for registration with CRNS as an RN(AAP)
Two (2) years related experience
One year experience working in an Emergency Room is required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certificate (CTAS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
Demonstrates knowledge of the limited common medical disorders according to CDTs
Current clinical knowledge and skill are required in a broad range of areas
Ability to diagnose/treat common medical under RN AAP Practice Standards
Experience in the utilization of electronic medical records is required
Possession of a personal vehicle suitable for use in the performance of duties

Responsibilities

Providing nursing services including the diagnoses and treatment of limited common medical disorders according to the Clinical Decision Tools (CDT) and in conjunction with their clinical knowledge and judgment
Complying with the RN with Additional Authorized Practice (RN AAP) Practice Standards and with Saskatchewan Health Authority policies and procedures
Prescribing and dispensing drugs as appropriate
Ordering, performing and interpreting reports and diagnostic tests
