Frederick Health Medical Group (FHMG), a highly respected 160+ provider, multi-specialty medical group, is seeking an endocrinologist to join its growing specialty care network within a well-established, physician-led health system. About the Role This position is resourced with a GO2 Incidental Lung Nodule Center of Excellence. There is a close working relationship with our GO2 Lung Cancer Center of Excellence, including a Multi-Disciplinary Lung Cancer Clinic. We have a robust robotic bronchoscopy program and are a US Intuitive Case Observation Site. The practice model is designed to support efficient patient flow, optimized scheduling, and sustainable panel management, allowing physicians to focus on high-quality care while maintaining productivity and professional satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
  • Active Maryland physician medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license and Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved provider)
  • Unrestricted medical license with no history of suspension or revocation
  • Eligible for participation with all payers
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Pulmonary Medicine with Advanced Bronchoscopy preferred; new graduates with strong procedural training may be considered depending on practice needs
  • Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR experience preferred)
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient workflows and close relationships with referrals and community partners to continue to grow the Incidental Nodule and Lung Cancer Screening Programs
  • Proficient and Experienced in Robotic Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound and ultrasound-guided thoracentesis and chest tube placement
  • Interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, imaging, pulmonary function test
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pulmonary disorders, including COPD, asthma, pleural effusions, sarcoid, lung nodules etc.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Document high-quality, compliant clinical notes in the EMR and support clinic access, throughput, and patient experience
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes (e.g., lung cancer screening rates, timeliness to diagnosis and treatment)
  • Participate in practice call coverage and practice meetings as required
