About The Position

The Advance Quality Engineer is responsible for new program quality planning, managing new program and new product quality development, and overseeing the quality department's Advance Quality Engineer team. This role also handles customer complaints related to new programs, follows up on defect analysis and improvements for returned materials, and manages engineer change work orders for programs and processes.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of quality engineering field experience.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Proficient in IATF Core (Five) Tools and quality statistics knowledge.
  • Proficient in using 8D method to solve problems.
  • Familiar with manufacturing principles and technological processes of automotive glass.
  • Familiar with the company's quality policy, objectives, and commitments.
  • Good knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management system.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 quality systems.
  • Familiar with various standards and inspection/test methods for automotive glass.
  • Knowledge of quality planning for new projects.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and management of new projects.
  • Ability to solve problems systematically.
  • Good planning, organization, leadership, and control abilities.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and sensitivity; ability to actively deal with problems.
  • Systematically trained in manufacturing techniques of automotive glass and main equipment.
  • Systematically trained in APQP.
  • Trained in IATF 16949 quality system (including five tools).
  • Systematically trained in quality tools.
  • Trained in related OEM and Tier 1-specific requirements.
  • English language proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive production manufacturing is preferred.
  • Engineering or management major preferred.
  • Bachelor degree or significant relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Keep data, drawings, and standards effectively archived in a controlled way.
  • Control the new product quality before SOP+3 months, including participating in the design of new product test and detection plans, organizing process capability studies, product reviews, and quality gate reviews before mass production.
  • Participate in and track the implementation of PV Testing plans to ensure timely attainment.
  • Solve and improve quality problems that occur during new product development and within SOP+6 months, including handling customer complaints and returns.
  • Establish new product quality resumes, summarize quality problems, and provide improvement suggestions.
  • Participate in internal training required by customers.
  • Train and guide on new product quality standards and inspection specifications.
  • Assist the quality control supervisor in recognizing and managing process change points.
  • Compile, archive, and transfer materials related to the new product development process.
  • Manage the quality department's Advance Quality Engineer team.
  • Handle customer complaints about new programs and follow up on returned material defect analysis and improvement.
  • Manage engineer change work orders for programs and processes.
