About The Position

Join Sentara Medical Group as an Advanced Practice Provider supporting our Electrophysiology Cardiology service line. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled, collaborative team of physicians and APPs while providing high quality care to adult EP patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This is a surgical and procedural focused role with meaningful autonomy and a strong support structure.

Requirements

• Cardiology service line support.
• Adult EP patient care.
• Inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Surgical and procedural focus.
• Full time schedule, four ten hour days, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Approximately 70 percent inpatient and 30 percent outpatient responsibilities.
• Average weekly patient volumes include 20 patients in the clinic and 50 patients in the hospital.
• Weekend rounding required every fifth weekend. Hours are Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• Phone based call only with no in-house coverage (1 day every 3 weeks).
• Position covers three Sentara locations: Sentara Careplex Hospital, the Port Warwick practice, and the Williamsburg practice.
