About The Position

Temple Faculty Physicians, the academic practice plan of Temple Health, is seeking an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Colorectal Surgery & Endocrinology department. This role is part of the Temple Faculty Practice division and will be based at Temple Main with a possible rotation to Jeanes Campus. Temple Health is a dynamic network of hospitals, specialty centers, and physician practices dedicated to advancing medical science and educating future healthcare professionals. The APP will deliver comprehensive medical care and care coordination in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams, including conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting tests, developing treatment plans, assisting in surgery, and counseling patients on preventive care. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, respecting diversity and providing ethical, professional care within licensure guidelines.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner: Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (Required), Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing program (Required)
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree (Required), Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (Required)
  • CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required) or NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant (Required)
  • RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required) or MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • 2 Years experience as a nurse practitioner
  • 4 years’ experience as a physician assistant
  • 1 Year experience in a clinical specialty practice
  • 1 year outpatient/ambulatory experience
  • Experience in an EPIC environment
