About The Position

Emory Healthcare EMS is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our Quick Response Team. The successful candidate will be highly proactive and self-driven to respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency 911 calls and provide critical care transports. This role demands leadership, collaboration, quick decision-making, outstanding clinical skills, and the ability to operate efficiently in diverse environments. Requirements

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Completion of a vocational training program as a Paramedic.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paramedic, preferably with critical care and 911 background.
• Valid Georgia Paramedic License with current state licensure.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification.
• AHA/ARC PALS certification or within 9 months of hire.
• CPT training within 9 months of hire.
• FAST-ED stroke scale or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Critical Care Paramedic (CC-P) or Flight Paramedic (FP-C) within 3 months of hire.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team under high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Respond effectively to emergency and non-emergency 911 calls in Houston County, GA, and surrounding areas.
• Provide advanced pre-hospital assessment, treatment, and stabilization of patients in various settings.
• Ensure safe and efficient care during transfer of critically ill or injured patients to designated medical facilities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in airway management, IV therapy, advanced cardiac life support, and other critical care procedures.
• Operate and maintain emergency response vehicles, always ensuring readiness.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient care and transport activities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical teams, and receiving facilities.
• Adhere to all EMS policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Engage in continuous education and skills development to stay current with industry standards.
