This position involves providing clinical services for patients at Children’s Hospital and other approved sites. The role includes providing oversight of the medical care team, managing direct patient care for a specified patient population, and improving continuity of care, customer service, and partnerships with community medical providers through timely completion of records and communication. The position also requires providing on-call services as determined by division leadership, actively participating in family-centered care, and communicating professionally and compassionately. Additionally, the role involves referring patients to specialists and relevant ancillary services as appropriate, utilizing the defined chain of command and escalation policies, and responding to team members and outside medical providers in a timely and respectful manner. Clear communication to trainees regarding patient updates and significant clinical changes, and encouraging questions from trainees, is also expected.
