About The Position

Enable Ireland is seeking two highly-motivated Adult Support Workers to join their team in Limerick Adult Services, located at Quinn’s Cross, Mungret, Limerick. This is a part-time permanent contract for 30 hours per week. The role involves working as part of a team in the adult day service and the service owner's home, providing personalized support. This includes assisting with personal care needs, mobility, and supporting access to community services and their virtual day service. The post holder will encourage and support opportunities for service owners in training, employment, and greater inclusion in their local communities.

Requirements

QQI Level 5 in Care skills to include a module on special needs (total 8 modules) or Equivalent Qualification
Minimum of one years’ experience working with adults with disabilities
Hold a full clean drivers licence with no restrictions and be willing to drive Enable Ireland vehicles
Must be eligible to work in the state
Effective communication skills and good recording practices
Knowledge of social model of disability.
Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working.

Nice To Haves

Experience of working with adults in a day service setting.
Experience of working in community setting.
Knowledge of person centered planning and Key Worker system
Knowledge of New Directions guidelines
