About The Position

SOUND Behavioral Health is growing and hiring an Adult Services Clinician in Seattle, WA. The clinician will help clients understand their behaviors, teach clients how to change their responses to unfavorable situations, and assist clients in developing healthier coping mechanisms. Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field, with a strong emphasis on working with families and community agencies.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a clinician or case manager.
  • Demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and treatment plans.
  • Washington State driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Mental Health Professional (MHP) designation.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for four or more hours a day.
  • Ability to use office equipment, including phones and computer keyboards, for four or more hours per day.
  • Ability to engage vendors, team members, clients and others over the phone and in-person by voice.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the Job.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a range of intensive outpatient services to older adolescents aged 18 to 25 and adult mental health clients.
  • Providing intensive case management services with outreach and engagement services.
  • Developing outcome-oriented treatment plans within a managed care framework, including periodic reviews for appropriateness of services and intensity.
  • Participating actively in the treatment planning and review process, including supporting documentation of clinical services performed.
  • Working with primary care physicians, DCYF, inpatient facilities, mental health residential facilities, and other adult servicing agencies to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for clients with significant mental health problems in the community.
  • Coordinating and consulting with other service providers and community resources, and making referrals to facilitate meeting clients' needs.
  • Providing direct services and/or internal and external organization referrals for clients.
  • Developing treatment plans and maintaining accurate and timely clinical records according to organization policy.
  • Performing outreaches/services to community locations to engage clients in care.
  • Preparing necessary reports, summaries, and progress notes, and incorporating them into clinical records.
  • Performing consultations and liaison duties with other agencies and resources on behalf of the client.
  • Assisting clients to remain stable in the community, thereby reducing the use of hospitals or involuntary treatment services.
  • Monitoring medication regimes and treatment compliance.
  • Monitoring utilization of services and the success of outcome measures.
  • Participating in team member meetings, consultations, case presentations, and in-service training.
  • Participating in ongoing program development and assessment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
