About The Position
Mesilla Valley Hospital is seeking an Adult Addictions/SUD Psychiatrist to join their inpatient behavioral health team. This role focuses on providing care for adults with psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders. The position offers a strong work-life balance, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in addiction treatment. Teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and medical students through Texas Tech El Paso are available, as well as a leadership opportunity for a Service Line Directorship.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited and recognized medical school.
- BE or BC General Psychiatry (required).
- New Mexico license or ability to obtain licensure.
Nice To Haves
- BE or BC Addiction Psychiatry (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide care for adults with psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Lead and collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Participate in teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and medical students through Texas Tech El Paso.
- Potentially take on a Service Line Directorship role.
