About The Position
Mesilla Valley Hospital is seeking an Adult Addictions/SUD Psychiatrist to join their inpatient behavioral health team. This role focuses on providing care for adults with psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders. The position offers a strong work-life balance, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in addiction treatment. Teaching opportunities are available through Texas Tech El Paso, and both employed and 1099 independent contractor options are offered. A leadership opportunity as Service Line Director is also available.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited and recognized medical school.
- BE or BC General Psychiatry (required).
- New Mexico license or ability to obtain licensure.
Nice To Haves
- BE or BC Addiction Psychiatry (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Focus on Adult inpatient Psychiatry, Addiction & SUD treatment.
- Lead and collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Provide care for adults with psychiatric and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Teaching opportunities with residents, fellows, and medical students through Texas Tech El Paso.

- Negotiable base salary range from $350,000-$390,000.
