Adult Psychiatrist - Outpatient

Southwest NetworkPhoenix, AZ
Onsite

About The Position

This role involves providing direct psychiatric care to adults diagnosed with serious mental illness, including schizophrenia spectrum disorders, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and treatment-resistant conditions. The psychiatrist will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, which includes other psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, an on-site primary care physician, an on-site pharmacist, nurses, case managers, and peer support specialists, all working under a team-based care model. The position focuses on outpatient care only, with no inpatient coverage required. The call schedule is designed to be manageable, limited to several weeks per year, covering only critical lab results, with low call volume, and is not patient-facing or hospital-facing. Caseloads are intentionally kept manageable to prevent burnout and allow for high-quality patient care.
