This includes individuals unable to meet their essential needs for food, shelter, clothing or medical care, secure entitlements due them or protect themselves from physical or mental injury, neglect, maltreatment or financial exploitation; are in need of protection from actual or threatened harm, neglect or inaction of themselves or other individuals; and have no one readily available who is willing and able to assist them responsibly. This will also consist of referrals to the Rescue Mission of Utica’s Representative Payee services when deemed appropriate.
