About The Position

Launched in September 2025, our location in Brookfield, WI, is already home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers are building our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and nurses working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade. As a Primary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. This role will work with patients aged 18+ in our Mood & Anxiety Program, while also offering the opportunity to be cross-trained within our Adult specialty programs and services: Trauma, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Mental Health and Substance Use. The Adult Primary Clinical Therapist is ideal for someone who is eager to collaborate with an array of clinicians and patient populations, while broadening their clinical skillset through ample training and support.

Requirements

  • Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist with clinical license
  • 2+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (strongly preferred)
  • Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
  • Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting

Responsibilities

  • Complete intake evaluations as needed to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
  • Create and update treatment plans
  • Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
  • Coordinate care with patients’ individual providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
  • Communicate with patients’ family members or support system when indicated
  • Chart in our electronic medical records system
  • Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Provide group and family therapy, as needed
  • Other duties, as needed
