About The Position

Messiah Lifeways is a non-profit organization located in Mechanicsburg, PA, that provides a network of services for adults, 55 and better living in South Central PA. Our roots trace back to 1896, when the Brethren in Christ Church founded Messiah Home in Harrisburg, PA, to serve older adults with Christ-like love. The Adult Learning Programmer provides exceptional communication skills, technological expertise, and project coordination to support the operational excellence of the Pathways Institute for Lifelong Learning. This role designs, organizes, and delivers engaging educational experiences for adults seeking lifelong learning opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in administrative support, customer service, or event coordination.
• Advanced proficiency with office software and related technology.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute educational programs, workshops, and events.
• Collaborate with instructors, volunteers, and community partners to ensure program quality.
• Manage registration, scheduling, and participant communication.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with program evaluation and improvement.
• Support marketing and outreach efforts to promote adult learning initiatives.
• Utilize technology and office software to streamline operations and enhance engagement.
