About The Position

Works closely with field staff and with the Deputy for Field Operations in the development, planning and execution of Job Readiness, Adult Basic Education, GED, and Computer Literacy to meet the needs of the Pathways out of Poverty Eligible participants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in teaching academic skills/certification and/or 3 years of comparable work experience.
  • Must have automobile, driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with staff, participants, volunteers and community members.
  • Complete reports.
  • Develop systems/procedures to meet the need of program.
  • Assess/Evaluate client’s skills throughout enrollment.
  • Assess students.
  • Interpret needs of clients through interview.
  • Determine which steps, methods and procedures among several prescribed options are required to fulfill an identified project program or management objective.
  • Implement appropriate classroom planning curriculum.
  • Develop individual plans to meet needs of the student (Job Readiness, ABE/GED, and/or Computer Literacy).
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Complete and submit required documentation i.e. itinerary, work plans case notes including student progress, in a neat and timely manner.
  • Complete Pre and Post-Test Assessments for all enrolled participants.
  • Recruitment and Enrollment of Pathways Out of Poverty Eligible Participants.
  • Conduct training for staff, volunteers and interns for adult education activities.
  • Ongoing outreach and promotion of the program to the community, and the private sector.
