Jefferson Community and Technical College/Bullitt County Adult Education is hiring a part-time (24-28 hours per week) instructor. This role involves teaching GED (Reading Language arts, Social Studies, Science, and Math) at the learning center, off-site locations, and detention centers. The instructor will provide GED, college transition, ELL, certificate training, and Adult Basic Education contextualized instruction. Responsibilities include preparing class materials, syllabus, course outlines, and homework activities to ensure student improvement and GED attainment. The instructor will use appropriate contextualized and aligned materials, administer student assessments according to guidelines in correctional facilities, and ensure homework and distance-learning forms are collected accurately. Adherence to JCTC, KYAE, and DOC policies and procedures, along with professional communication with co-workers and the Director, is expected. Professional development and other duties assigned by the Director are also part of the role.
