About The Position

Brecon Village is looking for a compassionate and energetic Adult Day Personal Assistant to join our Memory Support Center team. In this unique role, you'll combine hands-on caregiving with meaningful life enrichment, supporting individuals living with memory loss through personal assistance, engaging activities, and genuine relationship-building. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and assisting residents with mobility
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm
• Strong observation and problem solving skills
• Creative and engaging when leading activities and encouraging participation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability
• Ability to work independently and with a team to accomplish tasks
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care and senior support best practices

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide medication reminders in accordance with care plans and facility policies
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition
• Assist with meal service, feeding when necessary, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and services provided
• Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residents
• Engage and lead residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities
• Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures
