About The Position

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) is seeking an Adult Behavioral Health Member Liaison to join their team. This is a remote position, requiring residency in an authorized remote state. The role involves working with members and their families to identify concerns, remove barriers to service delivery, and promote the development of peer/family support programs. While this position is remote, leadership may request onsite presence for business reasons.

Requirements

  • 2 years in customer service, sales and/or health plan operations/Medicare/Medicaid experience.
  • Must meet the requirement of lived experience either for themselves and/or a core family member.
  • Reside in the state of Arizona.
  • High school diploma or GED in general field of study.
  • Effective communication both verbal and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, AI).
  • Knowledge of the Arizona Behavioral Health System.
  • Knowledge of the Adult Behavioral Health System.
  • Knowledge of Community Resources to help families when accessing the behavioral health system.
  • Confidence in collaborating with community stakeholders, providers, AHCCCS, OIFA Alliance.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years experience working in and navigating the Arizona behavioral health services delivery system and how health plan operations/Medicare/Medicaid are integrated into the system.
  • Intermediate or better understanding and usage of SharePoint, including page design.
  • Experience in facilitating meetings, community discussions and member forums.

Responsibilities

  • Builds partnerships with individuals, families, and key stakeholders to promote recovery, resiliency and wellness in integrated care settings.
  • Communicates and collaborates with member services and providers to identify concerns and remove barriers that affect service delivery or member satisfaction.
  • Collaborates with the Member Liaison Coordinator and the Veteran Liaison.
  • Attends community meetings and forums to promote the use of member and family support programs, reduce stigma and increase the value of lived experience.
  • Advocates for service environments that are trauma-informed, supportive, welcoming, recovery-oriented and person-centered as a result of a trauma informed, recovery-oriented approach to care management, care coordination and care delivery.
  • Attend various internal and external meetings focused on members and families.
  • Participate in the curriculum review of all new applications from Peer Recovery Support Training agencies.
  • Regular review of assigned policies to ensure accuracy.
  • Tracking AMPM and ACOM policy requirements to ensure provider and contractor compliance.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
