About The Position

The Adoption Caseworker, also referred to in the posting as the Permanency Specialist, works directly with children and families to help achieve lifelong connections, including adoption. The role completes services referred by the Statewide Adoption Network, including Child Profiles, Family Profiles, Child Preparation, Child-Specific Recruitment, and Adoption Finalization. The position requires independent field work with children and families.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a Human Services field.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of experience in the child welfare system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with children and families to complete services referred by the Statewide Adoption Network.
• Complete Child Profiles and Family Profiles.
• Provide Child Preparation and Child-Specific Recruitment.
• Assist with Adoption Finalization.
• Work directly with children and families to support lifelong connections, including adoption.
• Work independently in the field.
