About The Position
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Admitting Services, the Admitting Representative will be responsible for assisting patients and families in a prompt and courteous manner. Consistently securing accurate demographic information to create a complete medical record.
Requirements
- At least one year working in registration in a hospital setting or equivalent.
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Typing 40 WPM.
- Experience working with computers, faxes, multiline phones, copiers, printers and other office machines.
- When working in Emergency Dept, Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior certification required within 90 days of first assignment in Emergency Dept.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team player.
- Medical terminology.
- Basic Life Support.
- MAB - Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior.
