The Admitting Clerk creates a positive impression for each patient, family member, visitor, or staff member while pre-admitting, admitting, and/or registering, routing, or escorting patients, family, or visitors, serving as an entity resource. This role also registers inpatients and outpatients when needed, obtains necessary signatures, completes paperwork, and distributes it correctly. The clerk is responsible for checking and rechecking all paperwork before it leaves the area for complete information and accuracy.
