About The Position

This role supports the admissions office in its execution of events and connection with prospective families. This is a temporary role from September, 2026 - December, 2026. Pacifica staff members are persons of deep and mature Christian faith who value and understand the liberal arts within a high school context and can effectively communicate the mission of the school to their students and within their discipline. Pacifica staff exhibit integrity and honor, spiritual depth, exhibit enthusiasm and support for the advancement of the school, understand the various constituencies of Pacifica, communicate with warmth and understanding, work/lead within the various departments and programs, and work collaboratively with the faculty and staff to advance the school’s efforts in achieving its mission. The Admissions Support Staff executes all duties in a timely manner, seeks opportunities to promote a collegial, educational environment throughout the campus, maintains communication with parents and responds within 24 hours, sustains cordial, professional relationships with all students, staff, parents, and community members, is a team player and willingly collaborates in the ongoing advancement of the school, and abides by the spirit and policies in the Pacifica Employee Handbook. This role embodies and promotes Pacifica’s Core Beliefs and Approach to Teaching & Learning. The individual wholeheartedly enjoys working with teenagers, championing their education, and encouraging their faith and Christian commitments. They cultivate a vibrant culture of learning in and out of the classroom and contribute to a healthy professional working community. They arrive on-time, are well-prepared, act professionally, and seek to add value in every facet of the job while working collaboratively with colleagues and students to advance Pacifica's mission. They hold self directly accountable to their direct report and to the departments they serve, and ultimately to the Head of School.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A sincere enjoyment of working with teenagers
  • Exceptionally capable in both written and oral communication
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Technologically savvy
  • Proven success at working collaboratively with colleagues
  • Passionate about the chosen field of study and the mission of Pacifica

Responsibilities

  • Assist in event set up of rentals, campus cleanup, registration preparation, and decor placement for Open House and Student Visit Days.
  • Complete confirmation calls and manage guest lists for Open House events.
  • Create nametags for Open House and Student Visit Days.
  • Manage check-in & guest attendance for Student Visit Days.
  • Distribute nametags for Student Visit Days.
  • Facilitate guests in alignment with the event agenda for Student Visit Days.
  • Assist in acceptance box assembly, t-shirt folding, and merchandise placement.
  • Execute all duties in a timely manner.
  • Seek opportunities to promote a collegial, educational environment throughout the campus.
  • Maintain communication with parents and respond within 24 hours.
  • Sustain cordial, professional relationships with all students, staff, parents, and community members.
  • Be a team player and willingly collaborate in the ongoing advancement of the school.
