About The Position
Altior Healthcare is seeking an organized and detail-oriented onsite admissions specialist to join their team. The onsite admissions specialist will be responsible for handling patient intake and discharge processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the role. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, contributing to the efficient operation of patient intake processes.
Requirements
- Familiarity with medical scheduling software and phone systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Medical Receptionist, Dental Receptionist, or similar role is a plus
- Front desk experience in an ER or medical facility is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake/discharge procedures and ensure all necessary information is accurately recorded
- Coordinate with medical staff to schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify insurance information and communicate coverage details to patients
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
- Assist in maintaining medical records and updating patient files as needed
