About The Position
The Admissions Specialist is responsible for adding new clients into the Avatar system and updating current client demographic and/or payer information. They also run reports for upcoming appointments to verify financial eligibility and demographic data. The role requires demonstrating a warm, welcoming, empathic, and hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. Services are provided to individuals impacted by behavioral health issues, with an understanding of the effects of trauma on development and adjustment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to effectively, courteously, and professionally deal with the public both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities
- Accurately add or update client information using Ozark Center procedures and tools, ensuring all fields in the admission screens are populated during financial updates/intakes.
- Explain Financial Consent to Clients.
- Work assigned financial and demographic reports.
- Ensure documents are scanned into the electronic medical record (Avatar).
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
