About The Position

The Temporary Admissions & Readmission Specialist provides direct support to Enrollment Management Services by assisting prospective and returning students through the admissions and enrollment process. The position conducts admissions interviews, responds to inquiries, supports recruitment events, and assists with student re-engagement efforts for individuals seeking to return to the College after a period of non-attendance. The specialist works within established policies and procedures to promote student access, enrollment, and persistence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; OR an associate degree and two years of related experience.
  • Customer service, student services, admissions, recruitment, advising, education, or closely related experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work, maintain records, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Basic proficiency with technology, databases, and communication systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in higher education, admissions, or student services.
  • Experience providing direct customer service or student support.
  • Experience using customer relationship management systems such as Slate.
  • Experience with phone, email, text, and virtual outreach activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional recruitment and enrollment support with a focus on prospective students (may also assist continuing students) across all academic programs, under the direction of the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person admissions interviews with prospective students.
  • Respond to prospective student inquiries regarding admissions requirements, academic programs, and enrollment procedures.
  • Provide overflow support to Admissions Representatives during peak recruitment periods.
  • Assist prospective students with completing application and enrollment processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions in Slate and other college systems.
  • Conduct follow-up communications with prospective students using approved communication plans.
  • Provide support for student re-engagement and readmission efforts by connecting with former students who have discontinued enrollment.
  • Assist returning students in navigating enrollment processes and accessing resources that support their successful return and persistence.
  • Assist with outreach to former students who have discontinued enrollment before completing their educational goals.
  • Provide information regarding readmission processes, registration procedures, and available student support services.
  • Refer students to advising, financial aid, registration, and other appropriate college resources.
  • Document outreach efforts and student responses in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support initiatives designed to encourage student re-enrollment and persistence.
  • Provide support for recruitment and enrollment events that promote student engagement and enrollment.
  • Assist with event planning, implementation, and follow-up activities while representing the College in a professional and student-centered manner.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of recruitment and enrollment events.
  • Provide backup staffing support for campus visits, open houses, registration events, and community outreach activities.
  • Represent the College at recruitment and enrollment activities as assigned.
  • Assist with event preparation, logistics, and follow-up communications.
  • Support Enrollment Management operations through accurate recordkeeping, data entry, communication, and administrative activities.
  • Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives that contribute to enrollment, retention, and student success goals.
  • Maintain records and reports related to assigned activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties related to enrollment management operations.
